Movie-ing right along

I had a productive meeting with Jake today where we talked about which readings would be most productive in the short span of time I had. He's going to help coordinate some site visits with some of the collections on-campus that have film and video. We browsed the Media Library today. Another one of the fun aspects of the course will be the chance to watch multiple versions of classic films--well, at least their video incarnations. For the first week, I've chosen Fritz Lang's Metropolis, but I'd love to do the same with Gone with the Wind, West Side Story, and the Wizard of Oz. How cool is that!!!
